Rented two bikes here to do the (amazingly beautiful) Island Line Rail Trail. We had great service by very kind people. Highly recommended!
I ran into a flat tire just off the Island line bike trail and my crank arm starting coming loose as well. Miles from our car and in bad shape we were able to locate Malletts Bay Bike and Ski from a local referral. After replacing the tube he cleaned off the the crank arm, re-tightened it and diagnosed exactly what needed to be done to fully resolve the part. Needless to say say you got us out of quite the bind. Thanks again Charlie, great service! If we lived in the area you would certainly be our bike shop of choice.
Our friends and my wife and I chose to cycle the Burlington Island bike trail. One of our friends got a puncture about 6 miles out from Burlington. We called Charlie at Mallets Bay Bicycle and Ski. Charlie did not really offer a call out service but he came anyway to help. He fixed the puncture (obviously) but his Customer Focus was what impressed us all. Polished, professional and very personable. His price for the repair was very reasonable considering the circumstances. He could have hiked pricing given we were tourists. Charlie has a new store. Go visit it if you visit or live local. If he treats you like he treated us you will get a great experience and I'm sure you will find good deals with him. It's hard to find good service like this today and we were very greatful for it.
Hello I just wanted to share with you that while riding my Swinn Criuser on the bike path in Colchester today I had a flat tire. Asked Google to help me out with the closes bike & repair shop was and sure enough Mallets Bay Bicycle and Ski shop came up. I gave them a call in distress and Charley told me to bring my bicycle in and he would help me out. I was totally pleased with how quickly he found the problem and got me back on the road once again for not alot of money. He was very nice and showed that he cared.
