The location is good but the rooms are a bit old fashioned. Service is decent but call if you're planning to check in late. I would not recommend it for a longer period of stay but definitely worth the bucks for an overnight stay. They also have hygienic products available for purchase at the office.
Excellent service staff, spacious rooms, and adequate amenities. Great price as well! Close to Burlington and St. Mike's, as well as several great bars and restaurants. Came to stay one night with a friend, and had an enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, we woke up in the middle of the night to find the bed filled with bugs. I immediately recognized them as bed bugs (having dealt with the suckers before). There was no desk clerk at this time, so we promptly left to stay elsewhere without requesting a room change. We took photos of the bugs, and upon our return to report the problem to the hotel staff, out concerns were hastily dismissed. No recompense was offered despite the fact that we could not spend the full evening there due to the bed bugs. It would have been possible to redeem our high opinion of Handy's if it were not for this blatant disregard of valid concerns. I sincerely hope the issue is addressed before another guest uses the space. We will not be staying at Handy's Suites in the future.
They hold room deposits for extra vehicles. Its in their rules it's ONLY for the room Iicase of damage, TO THE ROOM. The manager in charge has the audacity to keep your cash. Good thing the BBB is there or who knows. Some of the company here is suspicious and has weird things going on. Omen of the housekeepers enjoys handling your toothbrush and personal items you may not want them touching. They also enjoy making up new rules outside of what written down in black and white. Best of luck to them and running a business this way.
They do a great job cleaning, although the place would definitely benefit from some updating (which will be starting next week!). It's a very 60's feel currently. We arrived at 3:15 and our room wasn't ready due to the previous occupants not being considerate of check out time. We were so exhausted from our travels that the manager found a place for us to rest until our room was ready, which was greatly appreciated due to our toddler having just fallen asleep! I didn't find the advertised muffins and apparently some people have mentioned breakfast vouchers at Days Inn, but we weren't provided this info by the management. Oh well.. we explored Burlington instead.
Started on second floor went to bigger room on first floor now on the 3rd floor it is huge. The staff is nice especially mel . It does need a breakfast over here and maybe a swing set for kids. Nice rooms need a weight room to and they are going to be putting in new carpet and other things but all and all I love this place
