We had been planning a visit to VT for a while and this was the only hotel in the area that had a room available. The room was a King bed room. The blanket and pillowcases were both stained with unidentifiable things. The staff was very quick to address this and gave us a new blanket, but we had went out and purchased our own pillow cases. The door was broken. The frame itself was busted and there was no real way of fixing it without replacing the entire door frame. We were still able to lock the door but to open, you had to throw your body weight into the door. The room itself was just to small to be a king room. There was no real room to move around. Even the bathroom was very small. I am very dissatisfied with the product I had received for the price I had paid. I had originally only wanted to stay one night but was told company policy states that I have to stay two nights when booking on a Friday. This was confirmed on the phone with Choice Hotels and the staff when I had arrived. Next time I stay travel to VT, I will not be staying at this hotel. The staff was extremely nice and made sure to help us with every complaint I had made. It wasn't the staffs fault, it was the building and policies of the company that I am sure caused most of this. Also, stay away from the coffee...

My drivers license was lost the day I was leaving so I was unable to get my car rental to drive up that weekend. I understood the hotel taking the two nights because of policy but the first night was noted as being a possible early check in and that night cost $224. I was rescheduling my trip a few weeks after to replace my ID so I told them I would make another reservation with them if they could work with me for one night.

It's a budget hotel off the highway, so you get what you pay for. The room was small but clean. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal. The room we stayed in was connected to the room next door by a doorway, which meant the sound-proofing between the two was non-existent. (It was awkward.) The check-in process was a little involved, and the concierge was apparently new in town and not able to answer our questions about the city. Towards the end of our stay, the room was freezing and the air conditioning unit didn't seem to work. The house-cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, though. The hotel's problems seem to have more to do with the building itself than the staff working there. They're clearly doing their best. But, I wouldn't recommend trying to cheap out on a hotel by staying here, unless you don't mind the lack of privacy, climate control and water pressure in the shower.

Other hotels a little further out are better with customer service and will work with you in case of emergency. I ended up staying at the Sheraton a few weeks after and was pleased with them and their offering to not charge me for an early check in.

Waiting to hear back from mgmt. Depending on their response, depends on if this changes for the better...

All the fresh baked cookies in the world can't make this place right! Room not cleaned until we complained after returning at 4:30pm on day two. No carpet vacuuming for the whole 5 day stay. Regulating heat/cooling was like tending a campfire. Staff courteous, but had the attention span of small rodents. I'd rather sleep in my car. The five stars is a dodge to enable the comment to post.

Very disappointed with this hotel and its inability to work with customers. I booked a three night stay one night being reserved for a possible early check in (4-6 hours before check in). I spoke with a person at the hotel before reserving and explained the situation and the person I spoke with said they made a note on my reservation.

They were fully booked for my next visit and said there was nothing they could do. I got my bank involved to dispute the one night and the hotel stood firm on charging me the $224 adding insult was the 13 documents attached to dispute my dispute including a note from management. Its frustrating enough to lose the money for the two nights I booked but to follow through with this one night charge after everything is just bad business. I would’ve continued to book with this hotel when visiting family.

Hot breakfast a plus but employees at front desk do not know what they are doing. They charged my account upon checkin not, checkout as they stated would happen and when I tried to tell them they told me they'd fix it and hung up the phone. Called back and he said he'd note the complaint and if there was an update they'd let me know. Never asked for my number, mind you it's not on file as the room was purchased for someone else. I explained the room had already been charged when it shouldn't have because it was to be paid in cash upon checkout. Again, a let go with no additional info or getting my number to call me back. Please tell me, there should be a decision with a call back, but how do you plan to do that when you didn't ask my name or number before hanging up from me YET AGAIN?! Really?! Won't be using this place to send friends or myself to in the future, that's for sure. Very disappointed!
